Recurring Conflict
We look at arguments that repeat, criticism and withdrawal, and how each response affects the next.

Communication, Trust and Change
You love each other. The same argument keeps returning.
Who This Is For
Young couples can care about each other and still feel stuck. A conversation about dishes becomes criticism. One person pushes for an answer while the other shuts down.
Therapy gives those exchanges attention, without reducing either partner to the problem.
What We Work On
We look at arguments that repeat, criticism and withdrawal, and how each response affects the next.
We make room to discuss hurt, expectations and what rebuilding trust may require from each partner.
Money, chores, family involvement and time together can carry different meanings. We put those differences into words.
Shared Transitions
Moving in together, engagement and early marriage change how decisions get made. Habits that once felt small can become a source of tension.
Sessions can help you discuss roles and boundaries before another disagreement takes over.
How Sessions Work
Azia draws on the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Gottman-based work considers communication and responses to conflict. EFT looks at the feelings and needs beneath the exchange.
Both partners participate. We set clear goals and return to the relationship pattern rather than assigning blame.
What Can Shift
We work toward clearer communication, fewer conflicts and renewed connection. Change is a possibility we work toward, and each partner's participation matters.
You can bring uncertainty about the relationship as well as hopes for it.
Format and Fees
Couples therapy costs $250 for 60 minutes, in person in Manhattan or online in New York State. Individual therapy for one partner is $200 for 45 minutes.
A Different Conversation
Common Questions
Yes. Different expectations about chores, money or time together are enough to talk about. You do not need to wait for a crisis to discuss your relationship.
Individual sessions are an option for one partner. The free phone consultation can help clarify whether individual or couples therapy fits what you want to address.
The work focuses on how the argument develops and what each partner contributes. Azia does not take sides; both perspectives belong in the conversation.
Couples sessions are available online while both partners are physically in New York State. You can also meet in person at the Manhattan office. Evening appointments are available.
