Time for What You Carry
Therapy in Queens
A focused video conversation for the pressure, sadness or recurring conflict you want to address.
Online in New York StateMore Than Getting Through Another Day
You may be finishing each day with a list of things you handled and little energy left for yourself. For women in their 20s and 30s, anxiety, burnout or depression can feel private even when their effects are constant.
Young professionals, adults facing a transition and people grieving a loss can also seek support. Azia Carter, LMFT, works with adults ages 18 and up and takes your account seriously.
Begin With What You Have Not Said
The first session includes a conversation about what brings you to therapy and the goals you want to set. You can mention a thought, an interaction or a feeling that has been hard to share.
Weekly work can explore self-criticism, expectations and relationship patterns. Azia draws on CBT and other methods while keeping a compassionate, direct style rather than expecting you to use clinical language.
Online From Queens, With an Office Option
Join from somewhere private while physically located in New York State. A video-capable device and reliable internet support the session; evening appointments are available. You can ask about current openings before making a commitment.
An in-person appointment is also possible if you wish to travel to our office at 16 Madison Square West, by Madison Square Park. Online and office care share the same session lengths and fees.
When an Argument Keeps Returning
Couples sessions focus on how the exchange unfolds, including criticism, defensiveness or shutting down. Azia uses the Gottman Method and EFT to understand what both people are experiencing underneath the disagreement.
Families may discuss conflict and changing responsibilities. The work may support more connected communication and clearer requests, without promising that every disagreement will disappear or that everyone will change in the same way.
Know the Costs Before You Begin
Each weekly individual session is 45 minutes at $200; each couples or family meeting is 60 minutes at $250. Private pay means you pay the practice rather than using an in-network insurance arrangement.
Superbills are offered for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Thrizer can assist with supported claims and benefits estimates, with Thrizer Pay available to eligible clients. The insurance company controls coverage; neither option promises repayment.
