Care With Clear Goals
Therapy in Long Island
A regular online appointment for adults and couples making room for the concerns they keep postponing.
Online in New York StateA Conversation You Do Not Have to Earn
Being able to keep up with work or school does not mean you have to dismiss anxiety, sadness or exhaustion. Women in their 20s and 30s can bring those concerns into individual therapy before they have a perfect explanation.
Young adults and professionals may be weighing changes in careers or relationships. Grief and family conflict can also be part of the picture, with attention to how each concern affects your days.
Relationships Can Become the Focus
When a young couple keeps having the same fight, a new topic can carry the same feelings of criticism or distance. Azia draws on EFT and the Gottman Method to understand the responses between partners.
Family sessions can examine conflict and shifting expectations. The work may support clearer requests and more connected conversations, while acknowledging that no therapist can promise a particular result for a relationship.
The Shape of Weekly Work
Azia Carter, LMFT, discusses your concerns and establishes clear goals during the first session. Subsequent meetings can look at what you noticed during the week and which patterns you want to understand.
CBT, IFS and family systems thinking are among the approaches she uses. Her compassionate, direct style allows questions about the work and room to reconsider a goal when your needs change.
