Support for a Full Week
Therapy in Kips Bay
Therapy for people who are tired of carrying every concern quietly and handling it on their own.
In person or onlineStart by Saying What Has Become Hard
You may have spent a long time minimizing your stress because someone else seems to have more to manage. Weekly individual therapy can give your own concerns consistent attention, without a comparison about who deserves support.
Azia Carter, LMFT, listens for what matters to you and asks direct questions. Goals are established at the first session so the work has a clear, shared purpose.
Pressure Has More Than One Shape
For a woman in her 20s or 30s, anxiety might appear as constant checking or second-guessing. Burnout can feel like having nothing left after meeting everyone else's expectations. Depression may show up as withdrawal or loss of interest.
Young adults and professionals can discuss changing direction, while grief can bring its own strain. You do not need to make those experiences sound more dramatic than they are.
Practice Speaking About the Pattern
In couples work, repeated arguments become something to examine together. Azia draws on the Gottman Method and EFT to explore criticism, withdrawal and difficulty communicating needs. The aim is understanding, not awarding a winner.
Families can consider how expectations and roles contribute to conflict. We may work toward clearer communication and more connection, while leaving room for the pace and complexity of each relationship.
A Regular Appointment for Kips Bay
Choose our office at 16 Madison Square West, by Madison Square Park, for an in-person conversation. Online sessions require you to be in New York State. Both options include weekly scheduling and available evening appointments.
Rates are $200 per 45-minute individual session and $250 per 60-minute couples or family session. Carter Cares accepts private payment, offers superbills and partners with Thrizer for out-of-network support. Your insurer decides whether reimbursement is available.
Let the First Step Stay Small
A short phone conversation can be enough to ask about the practice and current openings. The consultation is free and lasts 15 minutes; it does not require committing to ongoing therapy.
If you decide to begin, you can bring one concern and let the first appointment build from there. Having questions or uncertainty is compatible with starting this work.
